The Profession of Dentistry

Dr.Bradley A Dykstra is first and foremost a dentist who understands thatdentistry is a noble profession that should be treated with the utmostof dignity and respect and not looked at a strictly as a businessavenue to make one wealthy.  Treating each patient withdignity and respect with what is in their best interests must take toppriority in both clinical and management decisions. Your clinicalstandard of care should be formulated with the patient's interestsplaced above the dentists.

Make your practice your own

Dr.Dykstra also believes that each practice should portray the values andvision of the owner dentist. No two practices should be, or even can beexactly alike. No dentist should simply model his/her practice afterthe latest dental practice guru or the latest fad since this is a sureway to high stress levels, frustration, and burnout. Neither should thepractice dictate who the dentist becomes as a person. In short, yourpractice should reflect who you are, not define who you are. His mainobjective is helping dentists make their practice their own: to showdentists how to chart a course to reach the practice of their dreams.

The Business side of Dentistry

Dr.Dykstra also understands the total business side of the dentalprofession. His passion for understanding basic business principles ledhim to study business and obtain his masters degree in businessadministration. He learned that dentistry truly is a business and allthe principles that apply to other businesses also apply directly tothe operating of a clinical dental practice. He has developed andrefined systems that enable you to do quality dentistry in an efficientand effective way and he loves to share them with those who have adesire to take ownership of their practice and their life. A dentistwho understands the business side of the practice is able to providebetter facilities, develop a capable dental team, and provide excellentpatient care.  Being financially solvent with a plan forthe future enables you to diagnose and present treatment confidentlybecause there is no longer the pressure to sell, sell, sell just to paythe past due bills.

The Digital Office
